Spontaneous Expressions Abstract Redwood Wall Sculpture View 1

A visually fluid abstract wall design composed of several distinct irregular wood forms which appear to gracefully drift together yet separately away from a central vortex area. Like a nebula gently unfolding, the peculiar group of angular redwood burl chunks seem to float in a suspended collaboration. As the configuration moves from right to left, the forms appear to gradually unfold with widening gaps between the pieces. The wall sculpture can also be mounted either vertical or horizontal which changes the entire personality of this unique wall design.
This contemporary redwood wall sculpture has been designed with numerous redwood burls which have been sectioned and carved with chain saws, shaped with grinders and hand crafted to further embellish the forms. The wood components have been thoroughly sprayed with a durable clear oil and hand rubbed, producing a matt finish which reveals all the natural colors and exotic grain patterns. Due to the inherent characteristics of redwood burl, each wall sculpture is totally unique and cannot be duplicated. All of the natural redwood used to create these sculptures has been reclaimed the underground portions from fallen trees which have been victimized from winter storms, landslides or forest fires, therefor no living trees have been utilized.
All wall sculptures are signed and numbered by Daryl Stokes and include color brochure with an artist certificate of authenticity.
